Christian holds the position of Lead Materials Scientist and Technical Expert at Concrete Preservation Technologies, where he works as an expert in the field of corrosion of steel in concrete and develops world-leading corrosion management solutions that are used across the globe. As a part of this role, Christian is involved in many national and international associations and institutes, publishing papers and providing guidance in the field of corrosion management to support the construction industry as a whole.

For the last 6.5 years, Christian has been undertaking fundamental research on the deterioration of RAAC concrete for the NHS and the Loughborough University RAAC Research Group, leveraging this knowledge to develop and apply state-of-the-art survey methods and award-winning innovative solutions to manage the corrosion risk of steel in RAAC.

With his combination of on-site experience and research expertise, Christian is the world's leading authority on corrosion of steel in RAAC.
