RCS Strengthens Commercial Team with Appointment of Danny Flint

Commercial construction specialist Danny Flint has joined the RCS team, bringing more than 40 years of business experience across some of the UK's most complex construction projects.
Danny joins the business at an exciting time, with RCS continuing to grow its reputation for evidence-led RAAC investigation and remediation. His role will be to strengthen the commercial processes and governance that support that growth.
His career has spanned private practice, client-side development, main contracting, facilities management and specialist refurbishment. Along the way, he has worked on everything from occupied fit-outs and large framework contracts to one of London's first tall-block re-cladding projects following the Grenfell fire.
For Danny, though, it wasn't just the role that attracted him to RCS. "I was attracted to RCS because it's a scaling business where I can make a real difference. My commercial experience allows me to support the team, help shape how the business operates and protect it as it grows."
At RCS, Danny's responsibilities will include strengthening commercial governance, overseeing pre-construction activity, supporting project risk analysis and managing the commercial aspects of live projects. His immediate focus will be getting to know the business and introducing processes that support continued growth. "I want to understand how the business currently operates, identify where processes can be strengthened and help embed clear commercial frameworks," says Danny. "The aim is to protect the business as it continues to grow."
Danny believes the construction industry is navigating a challenging period, with ongoing pressures around material costs, labour shortages, sustainability, building safety and regulatory compliance. He sees RAAC as one of the clearest examples of where technical expertise and strong commercial management need to work hand in hand.
"Building owners are still working through what RAAC means for their properties and what the best long-term solutions look like. That creates a real opportunity for specialist businesses like RCS, but it also makes good commercial governance and early project planning more important than ever."
Looking ahead, Danny hopes to help RCS build not only its commercial capability, but also its long-term reputation.

Among the many highlights of his career, Danny is particularly proud of helping transform a £25 million facilities management contract by improving both performance and profitability, before going on to establish commercial governance processes across a national business. He also led the commercial management of one of the first high-rise re-cladding projects in London following the Grenfell fire, a complex scheme that went on to receive several industry awards.
RCS is continuing to grow, and its team is delivering increasingly complex RAAC remediation projects across the UK. Danny's experience will provide valuable commercial leadership to support the company's next phase of growth.
